  • Canned young green jackfruit — 1 cup drained and shredded

  • Tomato sauce — ½ cup
  • Fresh basil leaves — ½ cup roughly chopped
  • Vegan mozzarella cheese shredded — 1 cup
  • Red chili flakes — 1 teaspoon optional, for sass
  • Salt — ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper — ¼ teaspoon
  • Lemon juice — 1 teaspoon to brighten jackfruit flavor
  • Nutritional yeast — 2 tablespoons for cheesy punch

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shredded jackfruit, salt, pepper, and chili flakes; cook 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and nutritional yeast; cook another 2 minutes.
  6. Roll out pizza dough on floured surface to 12-inch circle.
  7. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving edges bare.
  8. Evenly distribute the jackfruit mixture over the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle vegan mozzarella generously on top.
  10. Bake on a tray or pizza stone for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese melted.
  11. Remove, scatter fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve immediately.
