Method
Prepare the Tofu:
- Press tofu for 10 minutes to remove moisture.
- Cut into cubes and pat dry.
Cook the Tofu:
- Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from pan and set aside.
Stir-Fry Everything Together:
- Add another tbsp of oil to the pan.
- Sauté garlic, ginger, and green onions for 30 seconds.
- Toss in peas and carrots and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the rice, soy sauce, black pepper, and tofu.
- Stir-fry for 5 minutes until everything is heated through.
Serve and Enjoy:
- Transfer to bowls and garnish with sesame seeds or extra green onions.
- Drizzle with sriracha if you like spice.
