Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1/2 ripe avocado mashed
  • 1 medium ripe tomato sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves optional

Method
 

  1. Toast bread slices lightly if preferred.
  2. Mash avocado in a bowl, add salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Spread mashed avocado evenly on one bread slice.
  4. Layer tomato slices over avocado.
  5. Add basil leaves if using.
  6. Top with the second bread slice.
  7. Cut diagonally and serve immediately.
