Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup almond butter smooth or crunchy
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds optional for extra crunch

Method
 

  1. Line a baking dish or tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond butter and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Stir in rolled oats, ground flaxseed, and sea salt.
  4. Fold in chopped almonds if using.
  5. Press the mixture firmly into the lined dish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  7. Cut into 16 bite-sized squares and enjoy.
