- Canned young green jackfruit drained and shredded — 2 cups
- Olive oil — 2 tablespoons
- Onion finely chopped — ½ cup
- Garlic minced — 2 cloves
- Smoked paprika — 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin — 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce or tamari — 2 tablespoons
- Breadcrumbs vegan — ½ cup
- Flax egg 1 tablespoon flaxseed + 3 tablespoons water — 1
- Slider buns vegan — 8
- Lettuce leaves — 8 small
- Vegan mayo or sauce — as needed
- Salt and pepper — to taste
Mix flaxseed with water; set aside to thicken (flax egg).
Heat oil in pan; sauté onion and garlic until soft.
Add jackfruit, smoked paprika, cumin, soy sauce; cook 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; mix in breadcrumbs and flax egg; season well.
